Uses of batteries
Batteries are used for a variety of applications.
One of the most common uses of batteries today is to power up electronic devices which have become quite popular in the recent years. One can name various devices which make use of batteries - both disposable and rechargeable:
- digital cameras
- mobile phones
- laptops and notebook computers
- mp3 players
- gaming console controllers
- remote controls
…and a whole lot more.
The norm for these kinds of devices is to use rechargeable batteries. One of the reasons for this is that rechargeable batteries generally last longer than disposable batteries.
More so, having to simply plug the device into the wall socket or a computer’s USB port to recharge the device’s battery is quite convenient.
